Time for a different kind of post. A shill post! Uru's
posted information for Dekamaid's first volume release going on sale November 16 (11/16) so it's time for some promoting. Left image is the cover, right image is a list of exclusive bonus illustrations (tokuten) you get when you purchase from their specific respective shop. In this particular case, Melonbooks even has a mini-story omake. Uru posted a convenient image explaining it so I took the liberty of translating it.
Just so you know, these store bonuses don't get scanned 99% of the time. Meaning if you don't buy it for yourself, you're likely never going to see it. And since these are limited release offers, once they're gone, they're gone. The volume/tankobon itself can get reprints, but the store bonus will not. At best you might be able to find one someday on a Japanese auction or used goods site.
Not all these stores support overseas shipping, meaning you'll need to use a proxy service if you want one. Such as From Japan, Big in Japan, Tenso, White Rabbit, whatever you want. I'm not gonna price list and compare all of them as there are way too many. Even if one of the stores you want has an overseas option, if you plan on getting multiple of these it's probably best to use a proxy service anyway, as domestic shipping is way cheaper than the bitch that is overseas shipping, so piling an order together from a mix-mash of stores is probably your best bet.
Likewise, if you don't care about physical copies, you can also just get an ebook version. I don't actually know how much importance they book on ebook sales, as every time I see a publisher or author bragging it's about physical sales, but it can't hurt. There's tons of sites, in English, you can use do this. Bookwalker, Kobo, Amazon Kindle, whatever you want. Google/Shop around, even.
Now there is a downside to tanks and I feel giving it is fair warning. Some publishers will grayscale the color pages. Now Bamboo Comics (the publishing name for this) seems pretty good for the initial color pages, but I don't actually know how they deal with mid-book color pages like Dekamaid has. So there's a chance that the color pages besides the initial 3 won't be in color, as well as the chapter titles there after.
If you do purchase one, you can make a comment on
Amazon or
Uru's tweet saying so if you want to. He is welcoming them.
